Dear Parent / Carer
Next Friday (April 4th) we will be celebrating World Book Day. The pupil groups have been busy planning activities based around 5 different books which they have chosen:
Frankie’s Magic Football by Frank Lampard
Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
Horrible Histories by Terry Deary
Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
We wanted to ensure that celebrating this event is more than just dressing up. The pupils will have a fun day choosing activities related to these books. Will they want to dance like an Oompa Loompa, find the golden ticket, complete a Horrible History quiz or find the fox in the box? There will be many more activities which the children have planned and prepared for with lots of prizes too.
Pupils can dress up as a book character, wear pyjamas or wear their favourite outfit.
We look forward to seeing how creative they can be.
Kind regards
Mrs. M. Teague
Dear parent/guardian
As you aware Estyn have published their report on the school (a previous Shoop message with details of how to find the report was posted on 24/03/25).
We would like to inform you all that from the report a post inspection action plan will now be drawn up by the school and will be supported by the local authority. This plan will draw on specific findings of the report and address actions that are required in a timely manner. Estyn will then have sight of this plan and monitor actions that have been put in place.
The governing body and the school want to reassure you all that we will do everything in its power to address areas of concerns and pull together a robust plan of action to allow us to move out of special measures.
We thank you for your patience and understanding
