Good morning parent / carers,
I wrote to you yesterday explaining our focus on attendance this year and the importance of your child being in school every day. At the end of last year we were delighted to award prizes to two of our pupils who achieved 100% attendance for the year. This is an outstanding achievement and the two pupils should feel extremely proud of this accomplishment.
Why should my child attend every day?
100% attendance 0 days learning missed

We understand that children get ill and there will be days when they shouldn’t be in school however we need you to work with us to ensure that every opportunity is made to keep your children in school. This includes not keeping your child out of school for long weekends as Fridays show a significant drop in attendance. If there are reasons why you are struggling to get your child into school, or to get them here on time, please speak to us so that we can work together to support you.
Failure to get your child into school can result in visits from our Education Welfare Officer and ultimately Fixed Penalty Notices. (Please click on the link for further information.)

We do not want this for any of our families and so we need your cooperation and support.
Please remember that if your child is unwell and not able to attend school, there is a form in Schoop which you should complete. You can locate this by tapping on My Schoop, Creunant Primary and then tapping on the pencil icon.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you need to talk to us or need support with your child’s attendance.
Kind regards
Mrs. M. Teague
