Spring Term Events
Staff have been planning several events for the children this term which we hope will give them a fun filled term. There will be fancy dress, competitions, prizes, performances and the chance to get crafty at home. Here is some advanced notice of the dates to help you to prepare and more information will follow from the children soon.
Friday 18th February – Sport Relief
Children can come to school in their sport outfits for a day of sporting activities. Children can wear their PE T-Shirts or a T-shirt from their favourite team. We will be asking for small donations for this event and all funds raised will go towards our playtime equipment.
Tuesday 1st March – St. David’s Day
Children can come to school in their Welsh costume or Welsh rugby shirts for a day of Welsh activities. Teachers will be filming short videos of the class which will be put on the school website for you to enjoy. Information will also follow on our annual St. David’s Day competition so that the children can get crafty over the half term break.
Friday 4th March – World Book Day
Children can come to school dressed as their favourite book character for a day of story activities. Books will be on sale on the day.
Friday 18th March – Comic Relief Day
Children can come to school in funny outfits. They can wear odd mismatching clothes, colour their hair or paint their faces. The funnier the better! Any donations on this day will go to Comic Relief.
Friday 8th April – Easter Parade
Children can enter into Easter competitions such as “Make an Easter bonnet” “Design an egg” “What can an egg become?”
We look forward to seeing the children’s creations and their costumes.
