Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to announce an upcoming opportunity for our students in Years 5 and 6 to participate in the Sony Bridgend Film in a Day Workshop. This workshop is designed to enhance creative skills and provide a hands-on experience in filmmaking.
Workshop Details
Date: 4th June 2025
Location: Sony Bridgend Studio
Location: Sony Bridgend Studio
Time: Normal school hours. (The bus will return for a normal pick up time)
Cost: £9 (Whilst the cost is voluntary, if sufficient funds are not raised this trip may not be able to go ahead)
What to Expect
During this immersive workshop, students will:
- Learn About Media Roles: The class will begin by exploring the various roles within the media industry and understanding their importance in the filmmaking process.
- Engage with Green Screens: Students will discover the magic of green screen technology, allowing them to create imaginative backgrounds and scenes.
- Participate in Film Activities: Activities will include:
- Script writing
- Overseeing lights, wardrobe, and makeup
- Overseeing camera work
- Directing
- Acting
- Create a Short Film: By the end of the day, students will have produced a fully edited short film based on a topic selected by the school. This will provide them with a solid understanding of industry practices.
